Qualifications:

• Licensed as a Nurse in the state of Arkansas
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• 2 years licensed nursing experience 
• Current certification in CPR and First Aid Training with AHA or Red Cross

Requirements:

• Pass a State Police Criminal Background Check and a DHS Child Maltreatment Background Check
• Cost approximately $35 (self pay)

Salary: Based on salary schedule for RN or LPN. 

Location: Any campus Nurses Office as needed.

Reports to: Building Principal and District Nurse

Specific Job Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Assumes responsibility for appropriate assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation, management and referral of students.
2. Provides for the promotion and maintenance of health and the prevention of injuries and illness.
3. Responsible for the direct and indirect care of students in compliance with the school district policies, professional standards of practice, physician orders, and the Individual Health Care Plan.
4. Functions in accordance with the Arkansas Nurse Practice Act, Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the school district’s policies and procedures.
5. Responsible for the Health Services Office, administering all medications, first aid, student care, forms and reports.
